- Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a recognised internet standard for accurately and efficiently distributing time among a network of computers. JANET provides an NTP service to which the University of Leicester is allowed to make a limited number of connections. This documentation explains how this NTP time service is made available to departments and, to a limited extent, to individual workstations.
