Tips for Learning
Visit Online Resources to obtain access to resources which can be used to develop your IT skills at your own pace. Since we understand there can be barriers to learning outside of a normal classroom environment we offer a few tips below to help make your learning sessions more productive.
Training Tips to help you "Learn Any Time"

(1) The first thing to do is to remove as many possible interruptions as you can by:
|

(2) You should set aside an amount of time that you can realistically give your full concentration. This will vary from person to person, for some this maybe 20 minutes and for others it maybe an hour. We do not recommend more than 2 hours at a time. |

(3) Let your colleagues know that you are allocating yourself some time to learn and that you do not wish to be interrupted. It may help to post a sign on either your desk or chair to alert others that you are taking time out to learn. |

(4) Set clear objectives of what you want to achieve in the time you have set aside. |
|
(5) It's a good idea to have some headphones handy as some online learning resources will have narration and/or music which you can choose to turn on or off. |
