Limitations and constraints
There are some limitations and constraints surrounding the use of Wi-Fi visitor accounts
- Only university staff can create Wi-Fi accounts for visitors. You cannot create a Wi-Fi account for a visitor if you have an associate (external) account.
- The account does not provide direct access to any CFS services including filestore, University email, etc.
- The account remains valid for 14 days. If the visitor is staying longer than this then a new account can be requested at the end of that period.
- The university member of staff remains responsible for the use of the account.
- Once created, the visitor must follow an activation procedure. The account will not work until it has been activated.
- The university member of staff and the visitor must abide by Terms of Use.
