Activate a Wi-Fi Visitor Account
Visitor Wi-Fi accounts need activating before they can be used.
Visitor accounts are necessary only where visitor institutions do not support eduroam Wi-Fi .
To activate your Wi-Fi visitor account you will need the Unique ID and visitor key provided by the member of University staff who applied for the account. Activation can be undertaken from the Wi-Fi network itself; or from any device with an internet connection.
Activation on campus using Wi-Fi

Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on on your device.
- Open your web browser. It should default to the University of Leicester Wi-Fi login page, but if not, type in https://uol-wireless.le.ac.uk/
- When prompted for a CFS username and password, enter wnet for both the username and the password.
- Click Continue.
- Having read the Rules and Regulations, tick the box on the right of the page to accept them and click Continue.
- Type in the Unique ID and Visitor Key previously supplied to you, and click Submit.
- Create a new password as requested.
- Log out from the Wi-Fi network
- Login to the Wi-Fi network using the Unique ID as your username with the new password you just set
Activation from elsewhere
- Open a web browser and browse to https://wads.le.ac.uk/cc/wirelessnetwork/wireless_home.html.
- Click Continue.
- Having read the Rules and Regulations, tick the box on the right of the page to accept them and click Continue.
- Type in the Unique ID and Visitor Key previously supplied to you, and click Submit.
- Create a new password as requested.
- Login to the Wi-Fi network using the Unique ID as your username with the new password you just set
