Our Wi-Fi service is an eduroam service that allows Wi-Fi Internet access on campus or at any eduroam supporting institution using your CFS username and password. eduroam Wi-Fi allows access at thousands of participating institutions worldwide, and many in the UK.

eduroam Wi-Fi is also available for visitors from eduroam supporting institutions along with a service for non-eduroam visitors

What's available through the Wi-Fi Service

• Webmail service
• Blackboard
• Library catalogue
• Web access to your CFS filestore (Z: drive and X: Drive)
• ALICE and SPECTRE Linux service, via secure shell (ssh)
• Wireless and remote printing service.

Use of the Wi-Fi service is limited to HTTP (web), HTTPS (secure web traffic), SSH (secure shell), IMAPS (secure imap)

Most VPN clients will also work over the Wi-Fi network.
