Printing from a laptop or from home

The Wireless and Remote Printing (WARP) service allows you to print from home or from a laptop on campus to University Student Printers.

- The service doesn’t support MacOS, Linux or Mobile Phone printing.
- The university cannot be held responsible for inappropriate charges incurred due to failure in following these instructions.

There are several steps in this 12 minute procedure but they’re all quite straightforward and you only need to do most of them once.

Before you start, make sure you have the following:

  • Your CFS username and password
  • Administrator level access to the computer – most users will have this by default
  • When printing from your laptop on campus via university wireless service ensure it's connected to the wireless service.

Step 1 (1 minute)
Identify your version of Windows as 32 or 64bit

In the dialog box presented  (link will open a separate window) the version of Windows is shown as Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP. Notice particularly if the term 32 or 64bit is listed as this is important to the next step. If the term 32 or 64bit isn’t used then assume 32bit.
