It is really important that you read and accept these conditions.  Failure to do so could result in your device being blocked.

We have greatly improved the service for mobile devices supplied to University of Leicester employees and have taken this opportunity to overhaul and rewrite the conditions of use.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

The Vodafone contract is now a mandatory contract
• All University mobile devices must be ordered through IT Services Service Desk
You can now opt to make and pay for personal calls and texts on your mobile device. See section 3.1.3.
• This will cost £7.50 per quarter plus calls (minimum 12 month contract).
• You will receive a text to your mobile phone to advise you when your bill is available to view on line
• All you have to do is log on and identify and tag all your personal calls (this can be made easier by entering a * at the end of the phone number when you dial)
• The £7.50 quarterly charge plus the cost of the calls will then automatically be deducted from your salary
• If you have more than one mobile device, you can only select one of them for personal use
• Personal use of PDAs and iPhones for internet and personal email access is not allowed. See section 4.4.3
• Devices are now not routinely insured.  However, you can now arrange to insure your device through the University's Insurance office.
• University of Leicester mobile devices must NOT be used whilst driving in any circumstances
