Internet Explorer version 7 (IE7) has been designed to be more streamlined and maximises the amount of screen used to display web pages. IE7 will make your internet life safer, quicker and simpler once you’ve got used to the new screen layout.

How to upgrade to IE7

Follow these steps to install version 7 on a private CFS client:

1. Select Start | All Programs | Install CFS Software select Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 - Upgrade
2. Click on Run and the installation will begin.

The installation will take approximately 10 minutes.

3.   When prompted Restart your PC

4.   Start Internet Explorer in the usual way

The first time you run IE7

The first time you log onto a PC running IE7 you will be directed to the Customer Settings page which looks very different from your usual home page. 

1. Select the Default search provider (usually Google, but you may choose a different one)
2. You may change any of the other options, but this is not necessary
3. Click Save your settings.
4. If you are not taken to your usual home page press the Home button.
