University wifi

eduroam wifi is available on campus and in University halls providing free access to the Internet for your laptop or mobile phone.

Connect to eduroam wifi

To use eduroam wifi you will need to setup your laptop or smartphone whilst on campus:

  1. Connect to the Setup-UniOfLeic-Wifi network on your phone or laptop
  2. Go to wifi.le.ac.uk for instructions for how to setup your device
  3. Login using your password and University email address:
    Students @student.le.ac.uk
    Staff* @le.ac.uk
    *Staff - if you have a friendly email address you will need to use your University IT account username followed by @le.ac.uk. Example: If you have a friendly email address of ellie.acey@le.ac.uk.enter ea179@le.ac.uk to connect to eduroam wifi.

Use eduroam wifi at other institutions

Once you have set up eduroam wifi at the University of Leicester, you can also use it at other institutions.

Visitors

eduroam wifi can also be used by visitors to the university if your home institution provides it.

If this is not possible, you can use Visitor wifi provided by The Cloud.

Reinstall eduroam wifi after a password reset

When you have changed your University IT account password you will need to setup eduroam again on your personal laptop or mobile devices.
