Adobe offers discounted programs for students and staff.
ArcGIS is a geographic information system (GIS) for working with maps and geographic information. It includes ArcInfo, ArcEditor, ArcView and ArcReader.
ChemBioOffice is a program which allows 3D visualisation of molecular structure.
EndNote is a program that allows you to organise your references and format them in the reference style of your choice. It includes a Word add-in to so that you can cite while you write.

ENVI (Environment for Visualising Images) is a remote sensing program that provides geometric correction, terrain analysis, raster and vector GIS capabilities.
ERDAS Imagine is a collection of tools designed to process and interpret geographic imagery, with tools such as advanced remote sensing analysis and spatial modelling.
GraphPad Prism is a combination of basic biostatistics, curve fitting and scientific graphing in one program. Features include curve fitting, statistics, scientific graphing and organising experiments.
JMP Academic Suite
JMP software is focused on exploratory data analysis and visualization. It is designed for users to investigate data to learn something unexpected, as opposed to confirming a hypothesis.
Matlab is a program for numerical computing which can use for modelling, data analysis, computation and engineering graphics.
NVivo is designed to assist in the analysis of qualitative data, enabling researchers to analyse items such as questionnaires, transcripts of interviews and focus groups.
Origin is a program with tools for data analysis, graphing, programming and interactive scientific graphing
Microsoft offers Office 2013 and 2010 to University staff and students at no cost, and they can install it up to 5 times on their PCs, laptops, phones or tablets.

SAS is a statistics program primarily used for dealing with large data sets. It is used for advanced analytics, business intelligence, data management, and predictive analytics.
SolidWorks includes a range of applications for simulation, surfacing, photorendering, animation, sheet-metal, data transfer, analysis, routing and full detailed drawing creation capabilities.
SPSS is a statistical package which can handle large amounts of data. It offers a wide range of data analysis capabilities and produces results as reports or graphs. AMOS v22 is also included which allows structural equation modelling.
