VHS video players to be withdrawn from teaching rooms gradually
VHS video players and combination players (which include both a DVD and VHS video player in one unit) are being removed from teaching rooms when they fail, as they are now difficult to repair and maintain. It will become increasingly unlikely you will be able to play VHS videos in teaching rooms.
They will be replaced with a Blu-ray DVD player which plays normal DVDs and Blu-ray DVDs. In some cases you will need to use the DVD drive in the Teaching Room PC to play a DVD video.
What do I need to do?
If you use videos in VHS format for teaching, you can contact the IT Service Desk to arrange for your content to be transferred to a different format.
Need IT help?
Instruction sheets in each teaching room will be amended when VHS video players are removed.
