Changes to eduroam wifi setup

The connection to setup eduroam has been renamed. There are new setup instructions, posters and leaflets available on campus. If you’ve already setup eduroam, you don't need to do anything.

What’s changed?Setup eduroam poster

Previously, to setup eduroam on a phone, tablet or laptop, you had to connect to the eduroam-setup wifi network.

Now, this has been renamed to Setup-UniOfLeic-Wifi. When you connect to this network, you can access instructions for how to connect to eduroam on all popular devices.

Why

The eduroam-setup connection has been renamed to Setup-UniOfLeic-Wifi to comply with eduroam’s regulations, which only allows us to include ‘eduroam’ in the main wifi connection name.

eduroam setup instructions updated

The instructions have been updated for new devices and relaunched with a mobile friendly ‘responsive’ design. Anyone with a University IT account can connect to eduroam wifi. To connect, follow the online setup instructions at wifi.le.ac.uk.

New posters have been placed around campus and leaflets are available at the HelpZone in the David Wilson Library.
