Students can install Microsoft Office at no cost

Microsoft Student Advantage allows students to install and use the full version of Microsoft Office whilst you study at the University.

You can download and install Microsoft Office on up to five PCs or Macs free of charge. You will be asked for your University email address in order to verify that you are a student and are eligible.

If you wish to install Office mobile on Apple or Android devices this requires OneDrive, which is not available with your University email account. You will have to have your own personal Microsoft account to install Office on your mobile phone or tablet.

From January 2015, Microsoft extended this so that Staff and Postgraduate Researchers can also benefit. Now everyone at the University can have the full version of Office on their home PC, Mac or mobile device.
