This last year saw big changes to IT for students at the University. Email, Blackboard, PCs and internet in student residences were all upgraded. The IT4students website was launched and later in the autumn term the first University mobile app was available to install on your phone. Students engaged in a pilot to allow them to view an online-personalised timetable.

Equipping the University for Research: IT Services celebrates its sixth birthday

Significant new facilities were launched last year to better equip the University for research. Most notably our award to host part of a national High Performance Computing service which was just launched in December.
