Following on from the nomination for Environmental Project of the Year, the University has won two further awards for facilities supporting research.
During 2012 most PCs across campus will be upgraded to Windows 7. This upgrade brings with it an opportunity to upgrade University centrally provided software and to retire some software that won’t work with Windows 7 or has very low usage.

The University has recently made a significant investment in IT data storage. This investment will improve data storage capacities for all staff, but particularly for researchers, with the advent of the large capacity Research File Storage (R: drive), and departments through their Departmental File Storage (X: drive).
