eduroam Wi-Fi service launched
IT Services launches new eduroam Wi-Fi service which will allow staff and students to use use FREE Wi-Fi at thousands of universities worldwide and in the UK, and get improved Wi-Fi on campus.
What is eduroam Wi-Fi

A new service that allows you to get improved Wi-Fi Internet access on campus or at any eduroam supporting institution using your CFS username and password. eduroam Wi-Fi also allows access at thousands of participating institutions worldwide, and many in the UK. |

eduroam Wi-Fi is also available for visitors from eduroam supporting insititutions along with a service for non-eduroam visitors
Staff and students are encouraged to use the new service instead of the current Wi-Fi service.

Why you should use eduroam
The new service is more flexible than the current Wi-Fi service, allowing staff and students to use Wi-Fi at other institutions. It also allows eduroam Wi-Fi visitors to use our Wi-Fi service without the need for special arrangements.
The service does not log out after 15 mins of inactivity, as does the current Wi-Fi service.
Who is affected
All Staff, Students and Visitors are encouraged to use this service instead of the current Wi-Fi service.
