Proposed teaching software for academic year 2017-18

Student PCs are due to be upgraded to Windows 10 in the summer. The proposed list of programs that will be installed on student University PCs or will be available for students to use, has been released. Let us know if you have any concerns that might affect your teaching.

IT Services have assessed the software currently available to students and identified those that are known (or likely) to be used for teaching. The following list shows the version currently available on University PCs running Windows 7, and the proposed version that will be available when student PCs are upgraded to Windows 10.

A further ~40 programs are planned to be available to students by the end of September 2017, however we believe these are unlikely to be used for teaching.
