Online Payment Services briefly unavailable 1 - 2 October 4.30am - 6.00am
There will be two outages to our online payment services on Friday 1 October and Saturday 2 October between 4:30am and 6:00am for approximately 90 minutes each time whilst Barclaycard carry out routine maintenance.
Removal of older versions of software - Friday 1 October 9.00am
We will be withdrawing old versions of software that we have made available recently to all users on Friday 1 October to ensure that they are using the most up to date version.
Adobe Connect unavailable - 5 October 8.30am - 8.45am
Adobe Connect will not be available for use on Tuesday 5 October between 8.30am and 8.45am while we carry out essential maintenance work.
ULTRA service unavailable - 12 October 7.00am - 8.00am
The ULTRA service will be unavailable for one hour on Tuesday 12 October , between 7:00am and 8:00am while we carry out essential maintenance.
New release of ArcGIS Explorer - 8 October 9.00am
We are releasing an updated version of ArcGIS Explorer, this will be available on Friday 8 October after 9:00am.
Blackboard stability issues - RESOLVED
We are currently experiencing problems with intermittent access to Blackboard. Refreshing your page after a few minutes should allow you to access the service again. We are investigating the root cause of these failures at the moment so we can stabilise service as quickly as possible
SAP Live unavailable - 19 October 7:30am - 8:00am
The SAP (live) service will be unavailable on 19 October between 7:30am and 8:00am for approximately 15 minutes whilst we apply two patches to the servers.
Micromine software release 15 October
We are making Micromine software available to all users from Friday 15 October. This will be available via the CFS Software 2 option.
Photoshop CS4 Extended release 18 October
We are releasing an extended version of Photoshop CS4 for staff members. Staff members who require the extended version should contact the Service Desk.
Many central IT services unavailable - 21 October 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Most central IT services will be unavailable while we carry out essential maintenance work, between 6:30pm and 9:30pm on the 21 October.

We will be carrying out essential maintenance on our online payment services on Friday 22 October between 4:10am and 8:20am. This will result in the service being unavailable for short periods during this time.
Student Records (SITS & eVision) unavailable 26 October 8:00am - 9:00am
The Student Records system (SITS & eVision) will be unavailable on Tuesday 26 October between 8:00am and 9:00am for approximately 30 minutes whilst we carry out some important maintenance work.
New release of 7-Zip software Friday 22 October
We are releasing an updated version of 7-Zip (4.65) this will be available on Friday 22 October after 9.00am.
New versions of Acrobat, Flash & Shockwave available - 26 October
We need to install new versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader, Flash Player and Shockwave Player on Staff and Student PCs. For most users, this will take effect when they start their computer on Tuesday 26 October.
University's wireless network unavailable - 26 October 7:30am - 9:00am
The University's wireless network will be unavailable on Tuesday 26 October between 7:30am and 9:00am whilst we perform an essential upgrade to this service.

Most central IT services will be unavailable while we carry out essential maintenance work, between 6:30pm and 9:30pm on the 28 October.
New release of Stata 11 Research Update - 28 October
We are releasing an updated version of the Stata 11 Research Update this will be available from Thursday 28 October after 2:00pm. This version fixes the corrupt file that is present in the current version. In addition this will provide us with the latest updates for this particular application.
