What

An old version of the 'NX' application (3.3.0-6), which is used to connect to ULTRA and other similar services) is being withdrawn from service. A newer release of the application (3.4.0-5) has already been released to replace this.

Why

This old version is out of date and contains a number of bugs, which the newer release fixes. Following a period of parallel running to allow users to migrate, we now need to remove the older release.

What do I need to do?

If you are still using the older version of 'NX' then you should install the new version as soon as possible.

You can do this using the 'Select & Remove Software' option under 'CFS Software 2' on the Start menu.

When

The old version of NX will be withdrawn from service next Monday, 8 February.
