The teams in Corporate Information Services
Application Support and Reporting Services
The Application Support and Reporting Services team is responsible for providing support for all corporate information services, and for providing management information reporting services.
Identity Management and Integration
Identity Management and Integration Services provide:
- Integration: Specialist advice, design and development skills for systems integration projects using SAP NetWeaver Process Integration and other technologies. This includes application-to-application integration as well as business-to-business process integration.
- Identity Management: The design, development and support for the SAP NetWeaver Identity Management system which is the backbone of the University’s central IT Account provisioning process.
Multimedia Services
Multimedia Services produce electronic materials to support the University’s teaching, research and publicity:
- technical support and development for the University’s website
- information architecture to provide help in structuring websites and ensure usability
- screen-based graphic design for use in media such as the web and digital signage
- support for online learning
- video and audio production
Staff Information Services
The Staff Information Services team is responsible for designing, procuring, installing, configuring, integrating, maintaining and optimising the corporate information services which support the key business processes associated with the Finance (including Purchasing), Residential and Commercial Services, Human Resources, Estates (including Stores Management) and Research Management functions. These are currently largely based on the SAP ERP system and the Research Activity Database known as InfoEd.
Student Information Services
The Student Information Services team is responsible for designing, procuring, installing, configuring, integrating, maintaining and optimising the corporate information services which support the key business processes associated with the Academic and Research Services, Student Support and Development Services and Marketing and Communications. The core ‘line of business’ applications are Tribal’s SITS Student Records system, the Facility CMIS Timetabling system and the Blackboard Virtual Learning Environment.
