Christmas closure of the IT Service Desk - Monday 23 December 12noon - Thursday 2 January 2014 8.30am
The IT Service Desk will close for Christmas at 12 noon on Monday 23 December 2013, and will reopen again at 8.30am on Thursday 2 January 2014.
Blackboard will be upgraded to a new Service Pack between 15 and 17 December 2013 and will be unavailable during some of this time.
Microsoft is allowing the University of Leicester to provide Office to their students. Some work is required by IT Services to understand how this can be made available.
All staff email accounts have been successfully upgraded as part of the Staff email upgrade project.
On 19 December 2013 between 7.30am - 8.30am many programs and corporate systems will be unavailable whilst maintenance is carried out. However, Blackboard, University email, Login to University PCs and access to files will not be affected.
With mobile phones now being commonplace University desk phones should not be used for personal calls, except in an emergency or in unforeseen circumstances.
The summary of the Lecture Capture debate and the Gartner presentation from the IT Focus week are now available.
Turnitin have made some changes to how assignments are submitted. Some of the new methods will not work on a University computer.
188 card readers have been installed on staff Smart Printers. This means you’ll be able to use your University ID card to login, instead of the touchscreen keyboard.
