- Connected World Talks for 2012
- A series of Connected World Talks starting in 2012 will cover a variety of topics, from building technologies and technology companies to the meaning, significance and cultural implications of the internet.
- End of 'uol' Wi-Fi service - Summer 2012
- The old UoL Wi-Fi service is approaching its end of life. We encourage all users to move to the eduroam Wi-Fi service which we introduced last year and which offers better performance, is more secure, and is easier to use once set up.
- Migration from Research Data Storage to new Research File Storage - 8 & 14 May and 25 June
- During May and June, we will be migrating data currently stored on the Research Data Storage (RDS) service to the new Research File Storage service (or R: drive). If you use the RDS, you will find you cannot update data on the morning your data is migrated to the RFS service and will then need to access it at a new location.
- Big News for Researchers and Departments - New Storage Services
- The University has recently made a significant investment in IT data storage. This investment will improve data storage capacities for all staff, but particularly for researchers, with the advent of the large capacity Research File Storage (R: drive), and departments through their Departmental File Storage (X: drive).
