Outlook options
To browse the options
- Choose the File tab > Options
- General: Outlook colour scheme
- Mail: message format, spelling options, message arrival, replies and forwards, send options
- Calendar: work hours and days, reminder options, add holidays, calendar colour
- Change the message format

HTML is the standard format for email messages this will allow you to use formatting. You may wish to change it to plain text or rich text. - Change the font or size of the message list

If you have difficulty reading the message information (sender, subject, date etc) in the message list you can increase the size of the text or change the font - Make changes to the reading pane

Move the reading pane and control messages are marked as unread - Turn off the new message alert pop-up window
Stop alerts appearing in the bottom right corner when a message is received - Display the total number of messages in a folder

Usually the display only shows the number of new messages
Calendar
- Change the appearance of calendar

Change the colour, timescale and working times and week options - Define the print options for your Calendar
Change the layout of your calendar and define which items are shown
Outlook
- Change the size or contents of the To-Do bar

Show more than one month in the date navigator - Add or remove folders in favourites

Choose which folders appear in the Outlook favourites area
