ArcGIS for Home Use
ArcGIS is available to University of Leicester UK based staff and students who have a Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 PC.
ArcGIS includes ArcInfo, ArcEditor, ArcView and ArcReader.
To acquire ArcGIS:
UK based Staff and Students
- Visit the Help Zone in the library
- You will be given a loan copy of the ArcGIS installation CD
- Install ArcGIS
on your home computer - Return the CD to the Help Zone when you have finished
Distance Learners
UK based distance learners should contact the IT Service Desk for advice on how to acquire this program.
Use abroad
UK based staff and students who wish to take their installation of ArcGIS abroad are required to acquire permission from ArcGIS at least two weeks before their trip. Please contact the IT Service Desk for further details.
