Acrobat Pro uses the Portable Document Format (PDF) to enable you to share information in a standard format available on all computers and mobile devices. It complements Adobe Reader which is used to read, but not create, PDF documents.
Acrobat Pro supplements the built-in Microsoft Office PDF creation capability by allowing you to create PDFs from other programs, combine and manipulate PDFs, create PDFs from scanned documents, compress PDFs and much more.
