About Us

The International Office is responsible for the development of the University's overall international strategy, including marketing, recruitment, student exchanges and links with universities and other organisations.
This involves a wide range of activities such as representing the University at international education fairs and exhibitions; visiting schools, colleges and universities; co-ordination of Socrates-Erasmus exchanges and other exchange links; the Study Abroad Programme; production and distribution of information for prospective international students; liaising with current international students and international student societies; management of the University's overseas agents for campus-based courses.
The Director of the International Office is Suzanne Alexander. Tony Pearson is Director of International Programmes, Michael Green is Director, Strategic Partnerships and Natalie Cunningham is the Head of International Mobility. Our International Officers are Caroline Berry, Shahid Hussain, Pauliina Keinanen, Felicity Lawrence and Clare Mytton. Sue Cousins, Rebecca Evans, Michelle Mi, Nalina Pattni and Charlotte Smith assist us in our work.
Nichole Bruce supports our link with the University of Gondar in Ethiopia.
The Study Abroad team is Caroline Wade, Julie Leverett, Amy Persse, and Lucy Stubbs.
In many countries we also work with agents who can offer advice and help you with your application to the University of Leicester.
Within the International Office, we all have our own special areas of responsibility and expertise, but we also work as a team, so that even when some staff are away from the office, your enquiries will be dealt with promptly.
