Overtime

Members of staff covered by the Leicester Joint Agreement and employed within grades 1 – 5 may claim overtime payments where it has been agreed in advance that additional hours above the normal working week (37 hours per week for staff in grades 1 and 2, 35 hours per week for staff in grades 3, 4 and 5) need to be undertaken.   Further guidance is available from the link at the end of this page.

Information in this section does not apply where members of staff:

• Have contractual overtime already built into their terms of employment;
• Are employed on grade 6 or above – see the separate guidance document on indeterminate hours.
• Are covered by the Leicester Manual and Ancillary Agreement, where separate arrangements apply.
