Students’ Union Senior Staff

The Students’ Union is the recognised student body of the University and is responsible for presenting the student view at the various decision-making bodies within the University, details of which are given in this publication.

The Students’ Union also provides a variety of support services for students through its Student Support Centre, such as the Education Unit, Accommodation Office, Student Development Office and Minibus service. In addition, the Students’ Union houses several retail outlets, including a shop, bars, nightclubs,  bank, employment agency and second hand bookshop. Activities such as concerts, dances, debates and markets are organised on a regular basis. Other external pursuits are organised by various Students’ Union funded sports clubs, societies and associations.

All the above services are subject to student control and supervision through General Meetings, the democratically-elected Students’ Union Parliament and Executive Committee.
