5.6.15 A modest cost of the entertainment of staff at a Christmas party or equivalent annual function may be charged to University funds. The Registrar and Secretary will determine the limit each year.
5.6.16 The cost of light refreshments at leaving events for staff may be met by the University (from departmental funds). This is subject to the general guideline that the leaving member of staff must have at least ten years’ service in the University. The University is under statutory obligation to declare this benefit and therefore Departments should maintain a record of the costs incurred and forward the details to the Finance Office.
