26. My online payment has failed. What should I do?

The majority of debit/credit card transactions that fail or are not authorised do so because of security restrictions placed on the card by the card issuer. If your attempt to make a payment has failed you should contact your card issuer directly and advise them that you wish to make a payment to the University of Leicester using the University’s e-pay online payment facility. You should inform them of the amount of the payment and request that they temporarily remove any security restrictions on your card. If appropriate, you should also confirm with them that you are allowed to make international payments.

If the e-pay system has given you an error message stating “Student details not valid” you should contact the Cashiers Office for further advice as follows:

Email: cashiers@le.ac.uk

Telephone: +44 (0)116 252 2393 (Undergraduate enquiries)

Telephone: +44 (0)116 252 2367 (Postgraduate enquiries)
