Disabled Parking

Staff and Visitors with a Disability

Staff who hold a Blue Badge are permitted to park for free in the designated disabled spaces around Campus. They should also register for a University Blue Permit using the form at the right hand box on this page

Disabled visitors or their departmental sponsors are advised to inform the Car Parking Office in advance of the visit so that a visitors permit may be issued. It is possible that a vacant disabled space may not be available on the day of the visit.

Staff members who have a temporary disability or special need that would require reasonable adjustment to their parking provision should ask for a referral to Occupational Health through their Line Manager to agree the assistance required.  OH will forward this guidance to the Car Parking Office so that the arrangements can be put in place.

Students with a Disability

Students with a disability should contact the AccessAbility Centre who will consider supporting any application for a parking permit. Permits may be issued for a whole year or for a set period dependent on the disability and the recommendation from the Centre.  Students should complete the form below which must be countersigned by an authorised member of the AccessAbility Centre staff.
