Car Park Closures and Traffic Management
Please note that whilst we try to keep this page accurate and to forewarn you of road closures that affect access to the University, maintenance of the highways in the City of Leicester is under the control of Leicester City Council and not of the University. The Council publishes weekly bulletins about forthcoming road works on its news page.
Students Union Awards Evening 17th June 2013
Please note that the Students' Union will be hosting an awards ceremony on Monday 17th June and the FJB Car Park will need to be vacated by 5.30pm for visitor's parking.
Students' Union Summer Ball in FJB Car Park - 21st - 23rd June 2013
The FJB Car park will be closed on Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June for the Students' Union Summer Ball.
Graduation Week 8th - 12th July. FJB, De Montfort and Welford Road Car Park Closure
The FJB Car Park will be closed for parking from Friday 5th - Saturday 13th July for the installation of a marquee for Graduation. De Montfort Hall and Welford Road Car Parks will be closed from Tuesday 9th - Friday 12th July. Alternative parking options will be at at the off-campus Brookfield Site on London Road. Please make alternative travel/work arrangements if possible.
Occasional Maintenance and Repairs - Some spaces in the Bennett, Charles Wilson, Sports Centre and MSB car parks are often cordoned off by the Estates Division to accommodate site compounds. Some spaces will also be taken by contractor vehicles. Parking for contractors is controlled by permit, please contact Security by emailing control@le.a.c.uk or phoning 2023 if you notice vehicles parked without a permit.
De Montfort Car Park Closures 2012/13

Careers Fair 2nd - 10th November 2013 - FJB and Sports Centre Car Parks
The FJB car park will be closed from Saturday 2nd November 2013 until Sunday 10th November 2013 to enable the Careers Fair marquee to be installed. The exhibitors will be parking at the Sports Centre Car Park from Tuesday 5th November to Friday 8th November so spaces will be limited for Sports Members.
Homebase Car Park
The University rents a limited amount of space on the Homebase car park. Authorised users have a permit for that car park. If you use that car park without a Homebase permit you are liable to receive a penalty fine from an external company engaged by Homebase, not the University.
De Montfort Hall Car Park
De Montfort Car Park - This car park opens at 7.00am and closes at 6.00pm daily and is closed on several working days during the year for othere events. Closed at weekends.
Regent College Car Park
Regent College Car Park - This car park opens at 6.00am and closes at 6.00pm each day. Closed at weekends. Some disruption to access may be caused during the College's construction works - please see signs in the car park for more details.
