Council Chamber Refurbishment
Work is due to start in the week beginning 28 May 2012 to refurbish the Council Chamber. There will be a partition door to enable the room to be split into two meeting rooms as required, click on the illustration left for a full screen view. The works will also improve the lighting and decor and reveal the original 19th Century roof.
Charles Wilson Building
Work is set to continue in the Charles Wilson Building foyer over the summer. The work is due to start mid June and finish by the end of September 2012, the catering outlets will remain open and access to the stairs and lifts will be maintained. Estates Office Win Green Impact Gold Award
The Estates Office Team, i.e. everybody who works in the Estates Office, won the Green Impact Gold and Innovation Awards this year, thanks to hard work and an inspirational team leader. The picture below shows Sarah Peacock, the Estates Office Green Impact Team Leader, collecting the Gold award from Christine Fyfe, Pro-Vice Chancellor. Also pictured are Emma Fieldhouse, Head of Environmental Management and Grant Charman, Deputy Director of Estates (Property Services). University Bike Park
The University Bike Park is free to all University staff and students. It provides a safe dry environment to store your bike and registration is free. To find out out how to register please visit the Bike Park page.
