Big Green Week 2010
Big Green Week is back and this time it’s HUGE!
The University of Leicester is holding a Big Green Week of events and initiatives that aim to encourage greener behaviours on and off campus in an enjoyable, informative and interactive way.
Big Green Week 2010 will focus on asking staff and students to commit to the vision of a 60% carbon reduction target by 2020. The week will celebrate our successes since the last BGW in 2007 and will give staff and students the opportunity to see into the future as we reveal what our low carbon university will look like and offer the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of events, including:
- Carbon footprinting
- The world famous Hard Rain exhibition
- CO2 cube
- Big Green Café
- Climate change debate
- Film showings
- Green speed dating
- Workshops on sustainable cooking, eco driving, making useful goods from waste etc.
- Eco fair
- and much more
