Grounds and Buildings

The University has an extensive estate in the City of Leicester, Oadby and Glenfield comprising of:

• 5 main sites
• 291 buildings occupying an area of 290,455 m²
• 48 hectares of grounds

Energy and Environment 

In 2010/11 the University showed a reduction  in energy, water and waste consumption from the previous academic year 2009/10
 3% reduction in carbon consumption
 6% reduction in carbon emissions
 1% reduction in water consumption
 10% reduction in non construction waste consumption
In 2010/11  91% of all waste produced on the University site was recycled
