Children's Literature Interest Group

Children's LiteratureThe Children's Literature Interest Group (SIG) was set up by two Fellows, Eve Bearne and Margaret Mallett, with experience and interest in the Primary School Years and has been active for several years.  It includes in its repertoire children’s non-fiction literature as well as fiction of all kinds. In our digital age, how teachers support reading on screen as well as reading traditional print texts is bound to be a major concern. So while treasuring the classics, and texts in traditional forms and media, the group considers innovative new texts. The group is currently chaired by Professor Morag Styles ms104@cam.ac.uk and Professor Maria Nikolajeva mn351@cam.ac.uk

Date of next meeting: Saturday 10 September 2016, 3.30-4.30 pm, Senate House, London
