Course aims

Business English

The course aims are different in each of the two semesters. Areas covered include:

  • Presentation skills
  • Writing emails, letters and reports
  • Developing vocabulary in areas such as marketing, finance, economics, politics, law and business studies
  • Using graphs and charts to commuincate information
  • Research skills

Who is this course for? 

  • These courses are open to all Erasmus and Study Abroad students for university credits.
  • Students should have an upper-intermediate level of English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent).
  • No previous knowledge or experience of economics, marketing, finance or business is required.

Assessment

Students are assessed on a combination of written and oral work produced during the course; there is no end-of-course exam.
