Transport from Airport to Leicester

The University of Leicester operates a large bus to collect students from Heathrow Airport. This service is only available to students taking Course D (July) and Course E (August).

Cost: £35 not refundable

Journey Time: 2 hours

Where: Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 Arrivals "Meeting Point" (close to the baggage hall exit)

Your flight should arrive at Heathrow before 9 am. Allow 90 minutes to get to the meeting point at Terminal 3. Please arrive at the meeting point by 10.30 am. The bus will leave at 11.00 am.

There are good public transport links from London airports to Leicester. You need to travel through London, so you have to change trains.

Gatwick:

  • Train to Victoria Station
  • Underground to King's Cross/St Pancras Station
  • Train to Leicester Station

Heathrow:

  • Train to Paddington Station
  • Underground to King's Cross/St Pancras Station
  • Train to Leicester Station

Cost: about £90

Time: 2.5 hours

Coach service Bus Thumb

National Express operates a bus service from Heathrow to Leicester bus station. It is direct, so no changes.

Cost: about £40

Time: 2.5 hours
