The Intellectual Property and Research Commercialisation Section Manages IP generated by the University and helps develop commercial interests and relationship to promote the impact of University assets. Activities & responsibilities include.
• Evaluation and protection of University IP
• Development of commercialisation strategies such as licensing or establishing spin-out companies
• Aid with funding applications that require IP input or commercial plans.

The Regional Business Engagement team - our job is to make it easy for agencies and stakeholders to communicate with the University of Leicester and develop effective partnerships and collaborations.  The team regularly works with: emda, Prospect Leicestershire, iNets, Business Link, Councils, Regeneration Teams, Consultancies, and other delivery partners.   

The Regional Team is also the home of the Innovation Partnerships project project (providing funded support to regional SMEs to work with the University of Leicester via company secondments, graduate internships or consultancy to address resource efficiency innovations).
