delic!ous is a one stop shop for your every need. A deli style sandwich and baguette bar, self service salad bar, hot pastries, soups, pre-made salads, pasta pots, cook at home meals, confectionary, a large selection of hot and cold drinks, newspapers, hampers, groceries, gifts, cards - delic!ous has it all!

Need a last minute gift? Pop into delic!ous and pick up a pre-made hamper or create your own from products in store with help from our friendly staff.

A cafeteria style self service eatery, food is ready made to reduce waiting time. On offer are a choice of hot meals (including a vegetarian option), soups, sandwiches and salads as well as a quiet place to relax and enjoy the view. Our new menu also includes many gluten free options. Menus rotate on a weekly basis and can be viewed here.

The Park Side of the 1st Floor houses a stylish, contemporary restaurant which offers restaurant service with the option of booking for private events. Menus rotate on a weekly basis and can be viewed here. A breakfast menu is provided via the bar area from 9.15am to 11am – perfect for early meetings!

chi is a contemporary café restaurant with an international theme. Offering a fabulous fusion of tastes from Asian style street food to traditional English choices, chi favourites include Malaysian Ginger Beef, Thai Vegetable Curry, Chicken Wraps, and the always popular, All Day Breakfast.

Whether you're looking for a hot meal or a cold drink, Café Piazza can meet all your needs. With a variety of hot drinks, cakes and sandwiches, spectacular views across Victoria Park, and access to an outside seating area, Café Piazza is the perfect place to relax at any time of the day.

Located at the front of the David Wilson Library, this contemporary café serves hot paninis, homemade cakes and soups, sandwiches and a selection of specialist coffees, hot drinks and fruit juices. The seating area includes tables and chairs, a breakfast bar and sofas, as well as an outside area for those summer days.

This newly refurbished coffee shop offers freshly prepared food in a vibrant, modern environment.

Serving a wide range of drinks, newspapers, snacks, filled rolls, freshly baked breads, breakfast baguettes and freshly baked cookies and cakes, The I.V offers a large seating area in which to enjoy your food and drink.

If you prefer a bar with a bit more buzz, then you might want to check out S Bar in Stamford House. S Bar is the most central of the bars and is used as the main venue for all major student events. The bar boasts two plasma screen televisions and a large LCD projector and screen, and is the place to watch all major sporting events including Premiership, Cup and European football as well as Rugby and Cricket. If you want to watch the game at a weekend, don’t worry as S Bar is open 12pm – 11.30pm Saturdays and Sundays. We’re also open 6pm – 11.30pm Monday – Friday and offer a variety of draught and bottled products, as well as soft drinks, spirits, and snacks including pizzas and toasties.

All drinks are reasonably priced and offers are regularly available, especially for events. Entertainment in the bars is provided by the Events committee, and additional events are organised through Arts in the Village. You can also buy tickets to Union nights and other endorsed events at S bar and John Foster Café Bar.

Bar Open 6pm - 9pm

If you want to relax and chill out then the Café Bar at John Foster is the place for you. Located in the heart of the facilities building at John Foster Hall, the mellow lighting and relaxed atmosphere make it the perfect place to unwind. There is a wide variety of cocktails, mocktails and alcoholic drinks available, as well as teas, coffees and other hot drinks.

The bar is open in the evening until 9.30pm every day, but can be booked for private functions including birthday parties and society events where we can open until 11.30pm.

If you feel like a bit of culture than you're likely to be drawn towards the Arts in the Village (AITV) Bar at Beaumont. This is a recently refurbished quirky traditional style bar where you can relax or get involved in the events. One of the key features of this area in Beaumont House is the wood panelling and the spectacular views across the Botanic Gardens, which make it the perfect place to relax and soak in the atmosphere.

Events that take place in Beaumont Bar include film nights, book groups, cocktail workshops, acoustic jam sessions, guest speakers and much, much more. The Arts Bar is a contemporary café bar which offers a range of speciality coffees and teas, freshly-made paninis, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, soup, light snacks, cakes and confectionery, as well as alcoholic drinks. A modern and vibrant seating area, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere make The Arts Bar the place to be.
