Current interns
Resources and information for current interns
Welcome to the Programme
This section of the website is specifically for current interns on the Leicester Graduate Internship Programme (formerly known as 'The University of Leicester Internship Programme').
There are various forms for you to record your training and development, self-reflection and project progress.
Workshops: Please ensure you make a note of the workshop dates as it is essential that you attend the CORE sessions.
This year we have made the workshop programme modular so that other than the core sessions you can choose which sessions you would prefer to attend and must allumulate 150 points by the end of the programme.

Recording your training and development: You will be expected to record your training and development on the form below and to reflect on your learning throughout the programme. For self-reflection we recommend using WordPress but you may choose to use another IT system or a paper record. The important thing is to keep a written record for when you are job hunting after the internship programme.

Visit: The Programme Manager will arrange to visit to you in your department. This is quite informal, and just to check that there aren't any problems.
Mid-term review: This is your opportunity to discuss how the project is developing, if you need any specific training and how you feel it is going. Arrange a meeting with your line manager/mentor (about 60-90 minutes should suffice) and then write it up on the form provided. When you write up, please focus on the learning and development for first the 3-months of the programme.
- Midterm review (word document)
Final review: Again, set up a meeting with your line manager/mentor and discuss the projects outcomes, and the training and development through the programme. This should be done at the end of the original contract regardless of any extension.
- Final review (word document)
