In 2009 we developed an internship programme to help our graduates develop employability skills within the workplace.

The original programme was called 'The University of Leicester Internship Programme' and it ran for 2 years. We have made some changes to the programme this year and to reflect this we have changed the name to: 'Leicester Graduate Internship Programme'.

The programme commences in October - graduate applicants must be available and eligible to work full-time between October and April.

Interns work on specific projects for 6-months and engage in training and development through a bespoke career development programme. Key factors in the success of the internship programme have been the wide range of departments offering different internship experiences and the support given to the interns.
