Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for students at all levels who want to improve their PowerPoint presentations. This is an IT-lab based workshop and will involve hands-on practice with the application.

What will it cover?

PowerPoint can be a real help to support your presentation, it can also be a big distraction. Come and find out how to use it appropriately. The workshop will cover:

  • The advantages and disadvantages of using PowerPoint
  • How to get the basics right - design and layout
  • How to make the most of text and images
  • How to use animation appropriately

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Think about how you currently use PowerPoint for your presentations (if at all). Bring along an existing presentation if you'd like specific feedback and advice.

You don't need to do anything specific to prepare, but bring along any questions you have on the topic and we'll do our best to answer them. You can also bring along any draft posters that you are working on.

  • No need to sign up in advance
