Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for students at undergraduate or Master's postgraduate level who are starting a dissertation project. This workshop will focus on how to design and undertake the project while Part Two will focus on the actual writing.

What will it cover?

  • How to frame, develop and refine a research question
  • How to search effectively and efficiently for relevant literature
  • How to develop a project plan for your research and writing (including strategies and tools for project planning and time-management)

 Do I need to do anything to prepare?

You are welcome to attend this workshop to help you in choosing a topic and designing your project. However, if you have already identified a research area you will be able to use the workshop to help you focus your topic.
