Workshop

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for students at all levels who want to know how to use Microsoft Word's lesser known features to manage and format long documents. Many of the features are also useful for shorter documents that require internal referencing.

What will it cover?

  • Using Styles to format your text, Captions to label your figures and different ways to view your document
  • Inserting Tables of Contents and Tables of Figures into documents
  • Using Cross-referencing to ensure accuracy of referencing within your document
  • The purpose of Master and Subdocuments and when and when not to use them

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Think about how you currently use Microsoft Word for managing and formatting documents and what you would do to make it easier.

When is this workshop next happening?
