Who is this workshop for?

Anyone who needs to keep track of what they are reading and then cite these sources in their own work.  This workshop is an introduction to Endnote – software which helps you manage publication references.  It is aimed specifically at arts and social science - as referencing styles differ between subject disciplines.

• How to input references manually; from a database and from the library catalogue

• How to create a bibliography automatically in Word, using the Cite While You Write toolbar

• How to create an independent bibliography

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

It would be useful for you to bring a couple of sample references along with you and to find out what reference style (e.g. Harvard) your department/School uses.
