Maths help

Advisory service

We offer one-to-one advice for students who want to improve their maths, stats or numeracy skills either as part of their degree course or for future employment. The Maths Help Advisers can help you identify ways to improve these skills by talking through examples, demonstrating techniques and suggesting useful resources for further development. All appointments are held in the Careers Service, on the 2nd Floor of the David Wilson Library. Appointments are available between 9am and 5pm. We will try and make an appointment for you within one week of your initial enquiry, although this may be longer during vacations.

Please note: there may sometimes be queries which fall outside the expertise and experience of our advisers (for example, the use of specific types of software to manage to analyse data). There may also be queries which relate more to your course in general. In such cases, whilst we will endeavour to help with specific queries, you will also be advised to seek additional help from your academic department.

Have a look at our numeracy study guides first though to see if they can help.
