Profile

Steve works closely with academic departments across the University, in particular those departments in the College of Arts, Humanities and Law, and the College of Social Sciences.  His work with these departments consists of developing learning and teaching resources to support students' academic progress and development. He also works closely with departments from all Colleges to support the implementation and Personal Development Planning (PDP) and the integration of employability skills within the mainstream curriculum. 

Steve manages the Learning Development Team, which is respsonsible for developing the following academic support services and resources:

• the central workshop programme;
• one-to-one consultation services;
• study guide materials;
• resources housed within the Careers Service Zone;
• online resources.

Last, but by no means least, Steve is responsible for overseeing the development of the Leicester Award, a Univeristy-wide programme which accredits students' employability skills.

Prior to his current post, Steve worked as a lecturer and tutor in further education, and as a trainer with the University of Leicester Students' Union.
