What is the Student Communication Team (SCT)?

SCT representatives are recruited each year in the summer term ready for the following academic year.  They work alongside staff from Student Development to raise awareness amongst students of the services and support available to them for career and study skills development (provided by Student Development).  This includes informing students within their academic department of specific events and services by email, lecture shouts, distributing flyers and posters.  Students also get the opportunity to help out at major events like the Leicester Student Graduate Fair at the Walkers Stadium.  SCT representatives receive training on good practice in persuasive communication and are supported via attendance at fortnightly SCT meetings during the autumn and spring terms (there is no SCT during the summer term).
