Profile
Richard Mendez is the Work-related Learning Manager and has line management responsibilities for the Work-related Learning Team (which comprises of employability and enterprise learning provision). Richard's remit includes teaching and assessment input on professional development modules in departments such as the School of Management and the Department of Mathematics. Richard also manages central internship programmes for students and graduates, working very closely with employers in the East Midlands.
He has presented conference papers and keynote presentations on employability in Hong Kong, Japan, Canada and the UK. Richard is the programme convenor for the award-winning Access to Employability; a bespoke employability training programme for students with disabilities.
Externally, Richard is an Executive Committee member of the Association of Sandwich Degree Education & Training (ASET), a member of the ASET Research Group and a member of the British Educational Leadership, Management & Administration Society (BELMAS).
